Six Premier League clubs battle to sign James Maddison

As many as six Premier League clubs are thought to be in the race to sign Norwich City star James Maddison.

According to the Telegraph, newly crowned champions Manchester City are one of the clubs thought ot be interested in signing the 21-year-old.

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Everton, Southampton and Brighton are the other clubs in the frame for the England under-21 star.

Maddison has scored 15 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions this season for the Canaries, and was named in the EFL Team of the Season for 2017-18 at the EFL Awards.

Leeds United are one of a number of clubs thought to be interested in signing Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Keiren Westwood.

According to The Sun , Celtic and Southampton are thought to be keen on signing the 33-year-old in the summer.

Westwood is currently out injured for the remainder of the season through injury, making just 18 appearances this season with his last coming in early December.

The report also says that Southampton boss Mark Hughes is looking to off-load Fraser Forster this summer and want competitions for Alex McCarthy.
