Jurgen Klopp has reiterated his confidence that Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah will still be at the club next season.
Mohamed Salah has shocked the world with his impressive debut season at Liverpool. Joining from Roma, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will have had high hopes for the Egyptian international, but I don’t think even he expected him to be this good.
There’s rarely a game which Salah doesn’t perform in. Just recently, he led Liverpool to an emphatic two-legged victory over Manchester City. The team that has dominated England comfortably, suffered three losses in the space of a week, and Mohamed Salah was instrumental to this.
Of course, having a successful breakthrough season is bound to accumulate heavy interest, from a number of Europe’s biggest sides. Real Madrid have shown a keen interest in Salah, but according to Daily Mail, Jurgen Klopp will not take these rumors seriously.
The German manager ‘knows’ that Salah is comfortable at Liverpool. He feels that the Egyptian is integral to Liverpool’s style of play, a style which Salah feels most comfortable playing.
After losing Philippe Coutinho in January, many critics predicted Liverpool to take a downwards trajectory. However, it’s been quite the opposite. Liverpool’s star players have stepped up when the fans needed them most, and if anything, they are on the rise.
Mohamed Salah has scored 38 goals and provided 11 assists so far this season, which is an exceptional record for a winger. You wouldn’t think that this is the same Salah who flopped at Chelsea a number of seasons ago.
Salah is best at exploiting space between defense, however his game is mostly all-round. He has electrifying speed, deadly finishing and a keen eye for the game, all of these components make him a pleasure to watch.
