Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James reportedly spends more than a million dollars a year on his body.
James business advisor Maverick Carter recently told the media he spends around $1.5 million on “cryotherapy, hyperbaric chambers, NormaTec leg boots, etc. He also has personal chefs, trainers, etc,” according to HoopsHype writer Alex Kennedy.
I feel very similar to LeBron James on this issue. Am I spending more than a million dollars a year on cryotherapy, hyperbaric chambers and trainers? Not exactly, but you can bet everything you have in the bank that I’m spending several thousand dollars on Culver’s, Chipotle, peanut M&M’s, Mountain Dew and beer.
Has it launched me into the NBA or any other professional league? Of course not, but it has played a crucial role in my journey into becoming the king of the internet. This didn’t just happen overnight.
It makes total sense that James would drop a ton of money on his health. The dude is rich, as the money to spend and needs to stay healthy in order to play. Someday, I really hope there is a comparison profile between bloggers and pro athletes for how we take care of our respective bodies. That would be a Pulitzer prize winning piece if I’ve ever heard of one.
