PGA Tour pro Bill Haas was injured in a rollover car crash Tuesday night in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
The crash involved a BMW and a Ferrari on North Chautauqua Boulevard and was reported at about 6:30 p.m., Los Angeles County fire officials said. The driver of the Ferrari was pronounced dead at the scene while two others were taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition, KTLA reported.
Haas was a passenger in the Ferrari.
Los Angeles Police Department Detective Jeff Fisher confirmed Haas was one of the injured passengers, KTLA reported. Fisher said Haas was “doing OK” after earlier reports he was seriously injured. Haas, a six-time PGA Tour victor, was in Southern California to play this week’s Genesis Open at nearby Riviera Country Club.
A Toyota SUV owned by actor Luke Wilson was hit by the Ferrari before the collision with the BMW.
