REAL MADRID have decided to bring back Carlo Ancelotti if Zinedine Zidane is sacked, according to reports.
Real Madrid boss Zidane is under pressure after the club slipped to a 3-0 defeat to Barcelona in El Clasico yesterday.
Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Aleix Vidal were all on target for the Catalan giants at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid have won five trophies in 2017 but, with the club now 14 points behind Barcelona in the La Liga table, Zidane is feeling the heat.
And Spanish publication Don Balon claim Los Blancos will bring in Ancelotti if they grow tired with the club languishing under Zidane.
The Spanish giants have long had a reputation as a trigger-happy club.
The likes of Fabio Capello, Bernd Schuster and Ancelotti himself have all been sacked despite steering the club to silverware over the last decade.
Things have seemed different in recent years with the club finally gaining some stability under Zidane.
But with results failing to appease Florentino Perez, a parting of the ways could be in the offing.
And Don Balon say Ancelotti is in line to make a spectacular return to the club he left in 2015.
The Italian steered the club to Champions League glory in 2014.
But after failing to win any silverware in his second season in charge, he was replaced by current Newcastle gaffer Rafa Benitez.
It is said that Ancelotti still has players who are loyal to him at the Bernabeu.
And he would supposedly take the job until the end of the season, in a case similar to that of Jupp Heynckes’ at Bayern Munich.
