The world’s largest Duathlon event come back

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 (Bernama) — The world's largest duathlon event in the Powerman series, will making a return to Dataran Putrajaya on March 4, next year.

According to race promoter and organiser, E-Plus Global Sdn Bhd, the event which would be a platform for running and cycling enthusiasts, is expected to attract 4,000 duathletes.

"There is a growing interest to excel as duathletes in Malaysia and the Asian region. This is evident with the increasing number of multi-sport athletes, especially runners and cyclists competing in Powerman Asia Duathlon Championships – Malaysia.

"We will continue our efforts to provide a quality stage for participants to compete, and expand the running and cycling industry across the region," said its chief executive officer Andrew Ching in a statement today.

Meanwhile world number two in men's elite and two-time champion of the Powerman Asia Duathlon championships, Thomas Bruins of the Netherlands, has confirmed his return to the 2018 edition and aiming for a hat-trick…..
