The football stars and the Hillman Group are teaming up to support Habitat for Humanity

CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals are putting in some work off the gridiron to help change lives on Thursday.

Our favorite football stars and the Hillman Group are teaming up to support Habitat for Humanity on a home construction site in East Price Hill from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.

Bengals legends, Ben-Gals cheerleaders (including WCPO's own traffic reporter Jaclyn DeAugustino) and associates from both organizations are showing up to 911 McPherson Ave. Thursday to get their hands dirty through construction work.

This is part of Hillman’s “Keys for a Cause” outreach. During the month of November, Hillman will donate a portion of all Bengals keys and keychains sold in the Greater Cincinnati area to Habitat for Humanity.

Hillman will present its donation to Habitat executives during an on-field pregame ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 10 before the Bengals game against the Bears.

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian housing ministry that seeks to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Since 1986, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati has built, renovated or repaired more than 600 homes throughout a nine-county region.

It has also contributed to building nearly 1,000 homes globally in Armenia, Cambodia, El Salvador and Kenya.
