NFL teams shared $7.8 billion in national revenue last year, an increase of 10 percent from the previous year.
Details of that revenue-sharing figure come courtesy of the Green Bay Packers, which as a publicly owned company must file an annual financial report.
The team's report, released Wednesday, reveals the Packers and the other 31 NFL teams each received $244 million last year, according to NBC Sports.
More than $6 billion of that revenue comes from the league's lucrative TV contracts with NBC, CBS, FOX, ESPN and DirecTV.
The revenue also includes merchandising and licensing.
According to NBC, NFL teams also rake in another $6 billion per year in local revenue. Given those financial numbers, it's no wonder some NFL players have been grumbling recently about the huge salary differential between NFL and NBA players
