Nike thinks Rob Gronkowski’s new logo looks like Michael Jordan’s Jumpman

Does a logo of New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski in silhouette spiking a football look too similar to Nike's Air Jordan Jumpman logo?

Nike thinks so, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.

The similarity could spark a legal battle between Gronkowski and Nike, who is endorsed by the the shoe and apparel giant.

From ESPN:

"Earlier this month, the shoe and apparel giant filed a formal opposition to the USPTO Trial & Appeal Board, saying a logo of New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski in silhouette spiking a football could be confused with its Air Jordan Jumpman logo that it has used since November 1987…

Gronkowski's team has until Aug. 5 to respond or risk abandoning the filing. If nothing is resolved, the two sides will battle over the mark."
