Professional golfer Cody Gribble was casually walking the fairway during the Arnold Palmer Invitational Thursday when he noticed an alligator by the edge of the water.
Don't try this at home.

Most golfers would steer clear and keep walking; Gribble walked right up to the big boy and slapped him right on the tail.
“I didn’t even realize it was on video,” he said. “Gator looked like he needed some exercise, I don’t know. He was sitting right there in the way, and I guess I was struggling today, I wanted to get some adrenaline going somehow,” he added.
The 26-year-old golfer shot 5-over, recording a 77 in round one of the tournament at Bay Hill’s golf course in Orlando. But apparently the Dallas native has messed around with gators on the course before to get his game going, according to Golf Week.
“It’s probably frowned upon, but I wasn’t too worried about it at the time,” he said. “It’s like a jolt. It’s quick, you know. They’re not going to catch you a couple steps down,” he added.
When asked if he’s ever had a gator come after him, he said, “Oh yeah, but they haven’t got me.”
