Here's a morning round-up of Arsenal transfer news and rumours:
A familiar name in Arsenal gossip columns has resurfaced again this morning with the Daily Express reporting that Real Madrid might be prepared to sell striker Alvaro Morata.
The Spanish striker has attracted interest from Chelsea in the past, and the Express quote Spanish publication Diario Gol who say that Real president Florentino Perez has been angered by his attitude.
Another striker persistently linked with Arsene Wenger's side is Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre Emirck-Aubameyang.
The rapid Gabon forward looks Wenger's ideal striker, but according the Metro who quote Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke the Bundesliga side are only willing to sell to a select few clubs.
He said: "Auba was our alternative to ‘the world ending’ after [Robert] Lewandowski’s departure. With an €80 million offer, I would be thinking about [club president] Reinhard Rauball and [sporting director] Michael Zorc – if we had one, we would have to get together with Pierre-Emerick.
"We always have to differentiate between situations where there is such an offer, but we have no pressure … I would prefer it if no offer came.
"He is definitely good enough to go to an even bigger club. There are only a few, but I’m glad to read that it’s a good idea to go to Barcelona."
Quite what Alexis Sanchez intends to do with his future is anybody's guess but Arsenal legend and Invincible Robert Pires has told Spanish media he hopes the former Barcelona forward strays in North London.
Pires is currently taking his coaching badges at Arsenal and is a regular at their London Colney training base.
He told La Tercera, he said: "I spoke to Alexis last week and asked about the renewal. He told me he didn't know, that he only cared to play.
"The renewal is not a subject for Alexis. He doesn't know what is going to happen, he just wants to play and enjoy."
The Sun report that Arsenal and Chelsea will go head-to-head for Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso who has impressed in Ligue 1 this season.
Arsenal have plenty of central midfielders on their books but with Granit Xhaka suspended, Santi Cazorla injured, Jack Wilshere on loan and Mohammed Elneny on Africa Cup of Nations duty they are currently short.
The Daily Mirror linked Arsenal with a move for West Ham target and AC Milan striker M'Baye Niang. Slaven Bilic's side are desperate for additions up front, but with Danny Welbeck fit again and Lucas Perez consigned to the bench, Arsenal's need is less pressing.
Finally, Arsenal's players took to social media last night to tell the world they were enjoying a squad meal.
Some beady-eyed observers noted that Shkodran Mustafi and Mesut Ozil were not present, fuelling speculation about the German playmaker's future.
However, it appears that Ozil was in Gothenburg on a shopping trip, so panic over Arsenal fans:
